Developing Active Pixels 4 …

Development of Active Pixels 4 was begun more than 2 months ago.
In this time the absolutely new Pixels interface was designed. It looks lite, but have nice possiblities.
A structure of the program completely was changed.
- The basic ini-file won’t be found any more next to the program itself. It will be in a folder presets.
- Active Pixels 4 will support any languages. The support of the languages will come true through the ini-files in a directory presets/languages. It will be possible to add the new languages independently, their number isn’t restricted.
- The start of Active Pixels 4 will be practically instantaneously.
- The program will be 50% less in size.
Nevertheless what Ap4 will be the else more functional than 3 version.

    When AP4 wil be done? Version 3.05 is pretty good, but it have some major bugs =(

    Now situation about my other actives is critical. Now i have no time to continue Ap 4 developing. Now it’s stoped. I think it will be continued only in spring. You better no wait anything good before summer :(

    2 Crono: Users who will translate interface into languages other than Engilsh and Russian - will be included in the credits (on splashscreen and help) - i will inculde any user for 1 language.
    2 Vlad: Sorry for sources, i cant do it, i writen about it earlier.

    Crono, it will INI-file. Now not all interface numbers are ready. When all will ok, I send you. But dont be ready now, it will be in 3-4 month in future.
    For translate 1 file i will put you name or you nic (as you want) and put menu item in help menu =)

    Dear Sirs:

    When you try to download the program in the 3-05 version checked after installation that the application window does not open and displays a message if failure of the operation under the code 31 and another, saying a missing device in the system (USER32.DLL). My operating system is Win.98Se and recently installed this DLL in the System folder and still the problem remains, how should I proceed? Grateful for the attention given!

    Dont try it by 98 :)
    This possibility is not even assumed. Only at you risk!
    Possible AP4 will work under 98, it have diffirent mechanism :)

    Hi. Work on the program continues. I expect to release a new version of the autumn or even winter. The fourth version is a step forward in quality, in that its development takes so long.

    Free image editor very similar to Photoshop

    When it comes to photo editing, the undisputed king is Photoshop. But if you're looking for a cheaper alternative that can give you the same – or at least similar – functionality then Active Pixels is an excellent choice. This photo editor resembles Photoshop in many aspects, from the way menus and windows are laid out on its interface to the keyboard shortcuts used for many actions. It also includes similar tools, like the magic wand, the gradient, the polygonal lasso and others. What's more, it supports working with layers. Active Pixels also includes some extra embedded apps, such as a red-eye fixer, a picture browser and a screen capture tool - although it only grabs full-screen images. That said, bear in mind that this free photo editor is not as powerful as Adobe's big shot. Despite the large number of filters and effects included, some of them lack proper configuration settings. I specially disliked the way sliders are designed: they're very uncomfortable to use. In any case, Active Pixels is an excellent photo editor that can be very useful for those cases in which you don't have Photoshop at hand or you just prefer to use a lighter app to perform the same tasks.
